COUPLES COUNSELING
Relationship and couples counseling is a central part of my practice. Life partnerships bring joy, support, and connection—but they can also present challenges, transitions, and conflicts that feel overwhelming. Difficulty communicating effectively is one of the most common struggles couples face. Misunderstandings, avoidance, or repeated arguments can leave partners feeling frustrated, unheard, or emotionally disconnected. Whether you are navigating long-standing patterns, repairing trust after a breach, or simply seeking to deepen intimacy, therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore your relationship, improve communication, and strengthen the bond with your partner. Feeling truly heard, seen, and understood by one another is essential for a healthy, thriving partnership—and it’s a central theme in my work with couples.
In couples counseling, we focus on practical tools, emotional insight, and meaningful connection. Together, we work to:
- Resolve conflicts in productive and respectful ways
- Understand your own needs and perspectives, as well as your partner’s
- Communicate feelings, desires, and boundaries with clarity
- Rebuild trust, intimacy, and emotional safety
- Strengthen connection, collaboration, and shared vision for the future
My approach to couples counseling blends warmth, empathy, and evidence-informed strategies. I provide a steady, supportive space for you and your partner to explore challenges, practice healthier communication, and cultivate a deeper sense of understanding, closeness, and shared purpose. By combining relational insight with practical strategies, I help couples create meaningful, lasting change—whether that means strengthening your existing connection or thoughtfully navigating transitions together.
Couples seek therapy for many reasons. You may be experiencing major life transitions such as infidelity, infertility, or patterns of codependence. Perhaps recurring conflicts, miscommunication, or unresolved past issues are leaving you frustrated, disconnected, or considering separation. You may also be happily in love and looking to maintain or enhance the quality of your relationship. Wherever you and your partner are facing, counseling can help you reconnect, communicate more effectively, and create a partnership that reflects your shared values and goals.
INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY
Addressing Old Patterns & Building New Paths
Individual therapy is a place to pause, reflect, and make sense of your inner world. Whether you’re navigating relationship stress, major life transitions, grief or a feeling of being “stuck,” our work together focuses on understanding what’s underneath your patterns and strengthening the parts of you that are ready for change. This is a space where your experiences are met with curiosity, not judgment.
In our sessions, we slow down enough to notice the emotions, beliefs, and protective strategies that shape how you move through the world. We explore what’s working, what’s no longer serving you, and what possibilities emerge when you feel truly seen and supported. Therapy can help you build more grounded boundaries, regulate your nervous system, and make choices aligned with yourself and who you are becoming.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative. You set the goals, and together we shape the path—one that honors your pace, your values, and your lived experience. Our work is grounded in compassion and curiosity, not criticism. Individual therapy offers room for insight, growth, and healing, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you build a life that feels more connected and meaningful.
FAMILY THERAPY
PARENT & ADULT CHILD ESTRANGEMENT / CONFLICT
Relational distance in family systems is often painful, confusing, and lonely. I offer a compassionate, grounded space where each person can explore what led to the distance, how it’s affecting them, and what healing might look like moving forward. Whether the separation is recent or long-standing, our work centers on understanding the emotional landscape beneath the rupture rather than assigning blame.
During our sessions we focus on clarifying boundaries, processing grief, and strengthening your sense of self so you can navigate this relationship with clarity and steadiness. For some, this means preparing for the possibility of reconnection; for others, it means finding peace and stability even if contact remains limited or absent. Your needs, safety, and emotional capacity guide the pace and direction of our work.
My approach is relational and deeply respectful of the complexity of family systems, cultural backdrops and trauma histories. I help clients make meaning of their experiences, recognize unhealthy patterns, and move toward choices that reflect their values. You don’t have to navigate relational strife alone—together we can create a path toward healing, resilience, and a more grounded connection with yourself and your story.
ABOUT ME
My path to becoming a psychotherapist has been shaped by a deep respect for the way people navigate hardship and hope paired with a commitment to serve others. From farming on a kibbutz in Israel to supporting health and education programs in Kenya and Nigeria, I’ve learned how resilience, culture, and connection shape the way we move through the world. These experiences, combined with my training as a mental health counselor, allow me to meet clients with depth, humility, and practical tools for meaningful change. I draw from these global and personal experiences to offer care that is both relational and practical. I offer a blend of gentle honesty, thoughtful reflection and guidance in a supportive therapeutic partnership. I work with clients to pinpoint obstacles and explore practical steps that support meaningful progress. My approach blends warmth with evidence-informed strategies, helping clients build insight while also developing tools they can use in their day-to-day lives.I show up with humility, authenticity and steadiness—meeting clients exactly where they are and supporting them as they move toward healing, growth, and a more grounded sense of self.
As a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH61308981), I am dedicated to integrating innovative methods and techniques into my practice. I remain committed to ongoing learning and regularly participate in continuing education and specialized trainings. I hold two master’s degrees—one in Peace and Conflict Resolution and another in Psychology—and I provide therapy in both English and Kiswahili.
